SYNOPSIS:
Waiting for Godot is both the inspiration for and a character in this new play. In Waiting For a Eulogy, subtitled “Another tragicomedy in two acts,” two travelers on the road of life once again banter back and forth about the things they have done – only this time they are in a bar and one of them is dead. As they take turns struggling to honor each other’s death, they share memories and find meaning in their past interactions. As the two characters engage in a variety of entertaining and insightful discussions and encounters, their friendship reveals itself to be stronger in death than it ever was in life.

About the playwright:
Lawrence Kraft spent several years teaching and publishing in the academic setting before a professional career writing marketing material and funding proposals for hospitals and other nonprofits. Now retired and living in Vermont, he has been writing articles and opinion pieces for local newspapers as well as other creative ventures. This is his first play.
