O:JA&L Poetry: All forms & styles
Naa Asheley Ashitey
I wore your favorite satin

A few leaves float in the air,
Alongside a random yellow balloon.
Here, I am witness to wind,
shapeless and colorless.
Her true body is a mystery,
As she can only be seen in other objects.
I stand still for a moment,
Granting her the gift of not requiring
That she blows a bit harder
to be worthy of being
Taken seriously.
I’ll give her center stage
And admire the way she dances through her vessels.
