THE SLEEP DOCTOR
A recent medical school graduate lands a job to work for a sleep doctor who creates a lethal medicine that causes patients to die from intensely violent and vivid nightmares.

Genre: Suspense/Thriller
Synopsis: Set in modern New York City, THE SLEEP DOCTOR follows our protagonist Rae/Raeann Weston who has been suffering from PTSD from losing her mother when she was 11 years old. Now at the age of 25, Rae interviews at REM Center, a cutting-edge sleep clinic for a PA position. During the interview, eerie screeching echoes from a distance. Despite the unsettling interview, Rae eventually ends up landing the job. While working at REM one night after administering medicine to a patient, Rae witnesses one of her patients die right in front of her. Now, Rae must go against the doctor’s orders of administering the deadly medicine to patients and set out to expose the head sleep doctor for what he’s actually doing to them, all the while Rae makes a horrific discovery connected to her own past.
About the playwright:
Jenna D’Amato is a freelance screenwriter/ scriptwriter based in Lynchburg, Virginia. She graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Cinematic Arts. Jenna has written/directed a short film titled Bruised Heart which revolves around an abusive relationship. She’s also written/created an audio drama. The drama is a romance titled A Romantic Getaway. Jenna writes screenplays mainly in the drama and thriller genre. Currently, she’s writing a dark medical suspense thriller. Jenna enjoys stories that are raw, authentic and reflect the struggle of human beings. She believes that those are the stories that will truly impact the audience.
