 About the writer:
CORY D. CART is a neurodivergent writer, folklorist, and former newspaper publisher whose work explores queerness, rural life, and the myth of masculinity in America’s heartland. A lifelong horseman and storyteller, Cart’s poetry and prose bridge the space between the feed store and the queer bar, where dust and desire share the same language. His work has appeared in both literary and journalistic publications and draws influence from cowboy poets like Red Steagall and Badger Clark. Cart is pursuing his MFA in Popular Fiction at Emerson College.
