To make this content eligible for an O:JA&L YouTube event and available to O:JA&L readers-in-performance, mark the Affirmative Permission/Release box on the submission form. O:JA&L encourages contributors to submit audio (MP3)or video (MP4) files in this category. Recordings should be one to three minutes in length. Submitters of audio or video should include a text-only transcript of the work as part of the cover letter.
Simultaneous submissions are accepted with the understanding that notice to O:JA&L will be prompt if a piece is accepted elsewhere.
To ensure processing by the correct editors, the subject line or cover letter should include the words “Annual Call for Submissions: Lyric Poetry, all forms and styles.”
No reading fees apply. “Expedited” consideration is available for a fee.
Submissions open January 1. Submissions close June 30.

OPEN: Journal of Arts & Letters (O:JA&L) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation registered in California, USA.
O:JA&L has accepted a collage I submitted – ‘The Other Shoes Dropping’. I have been unable to learn when it will be published, if it has been published, or where it will be published.
Hi, Bruce. As a rule of thumb, it’s generally 6-8 weeks from acceptance to publication– sometimes more, sometimes less. Your art will be published in the journal and/or to achieve wider exposure, as a focusing cover image for a broadside, a pamphlet, or a chapbook issued online through our imprint. Once your image is in release anywhere, you will receive a formal notice through Submittable. You can reach me with any other questions or concerns about the process and timing of publication through email at editor@ojalart.com Thanks for participating in our project.
Thanks Jeff. This is all I wanted to know.
