THE CASE AGAINST
It is rumored clowns are left-handed. Townsfolk tolerate an amount of left-handedness, but never a majority. Clowns being left-handed would be another reason to shun them. Our authorities re interview victims of clownery, carving their questions around uncovering clown hand preference, gestures that might shy towards disdain of the right. Many who had not noticed before remember more when the focus of the investigation is specific. When a list of characteristics is added to the pre-interview form, even more townsfolk admit to having suspected left-handedness among clowns. Before long, it is the single most striking thing they draw from their encounters.
