About the writer:
HASSANE ZEMMOURI is from Algiers/ Algeria. He was born on January 17th, 1991. Diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in his childhood and with heart failure in 2016, six years after relying on a wheelchair, he has been writing haiku/ senryu since September 2017. He started creating haiga in late 2020. He won the 2nd place in My Haiku Pond 5th Anniversary Haiga Contest. One of his haiga has been highly commended in the 4th Santoka International Haiga Contest.

About the photographers:
MAGALI BRETOU is from Lyon, France. She likes the old quarters and bugnes. For eight years, photography has been her passion. She likes to show the beauty of simple things, of nature, the delicacy of a flower, the emotion in the eyes of an animal…

BEA BAUER was born in 1970 in East Germany and grew up there. Since 2007 she has been living in Berlin. She started taking pictures 23 years ago– initially analog, later digital. She never learned photography; she is self-taught. Photography is a hobby and passion for her, and she photographs intuitively. She is particularly fascinated by abandoned places and nature, where she always has a strong penchant for the ephemeral and morbid.
